My Constant

My Constant

You are everything to me.
My Source for all things.

Throughout my life
I have been rejected and despised
By so many groups of people –
family, school and church.

You alone have been
The only Constant in my life.
You alone are my God.
You alone are my Hope.
You alone are my Help.

Cause me to see what You see.
Cause me to hear what You hear.
Cause me to understand what is needed.
Help me to see with clear vision.

Restore the windowpanes of my soul
So I no longer look through
Broken and cracked glass.

Hold my hand and lead me
Through this journey I am on.
I trust You.
I give You all I am.

About unabashedhope

The name Unabashed Hope comes from my favorite poem by Emily Dickinson. Unabashed means not embarrassed, disconcerted or ashamed. I believe Emily's poem, Hope is the Thing with Feathers, says it best: Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm. I've heard it in the chilliest land And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me.
